As a classroom teacher, I provide a range of learning supports to primary children but specialise in providing an MSL program as taught by the ADA (Jodi Clements 2016) to those with literacy difficulties, particularly those with diagnosed Specific Reading, Writing and Spelling Difficulties. I also play a pivotal role in identifying children in our school who display the profile of a child with dyslexia and supporting their families with assessment, information and resources to support their child. I have been asked to assist colleagues with their understanding of dyslexia. Privately, I provide selected students with a structured MSL program on a twice weekly basis and work with their class teachers and families to support their classroom learning.
